The Irish Border Issue – What’s the Problem?

Of the many issues resulting from the United Kingdom's decision to leave the European Union, the situation regarding the natural land border between the Irish Republic and Northern Ireland has proven to be the most difficult to resolve. For many people, the ongoing conflicts are difficult to understand.

Speaker: the renowned legal expert, Professor Michael Dougan, Professor of European Law and Jean Monnet Chair in EU Law at the University of Liverpool. He will describe the background to the UK-EU discussions, the present state of the negotiations and look into future possible ways of resolving the conflict.
